This message indicates that the device is currently registered to an existing Psync app account. If you are trying to set up the camera with a new email or account, the original user must first remove the device from their Psync app account.
For the Previous Owner:
- Log into the Psync app using the account credentials linked to the camera.
- Choose the' Live' option in the app's bottom right corner.
- Tap the (...) icon and select 'Settings.'
- Tap 'Delete Device,' then proceed to 'Delete All.'
- Once deleted, the device can be relinked or linked to a new user account.
Note: A factory reset is required to link the camera to a new account. The reset is accomplished by 'Long pressing' the camera reset button - (included below). This ensures all video saved to the camera's local storage is deleted and configurations are reset. If you would like more information on this topic, please see our factory reset article.
For the New Owner
- Ensure the Psync app is installed and an account is created.
- Tap the '+' button in the app's upper right corner.
- Choose 'Psync Camera Genie S' from the list of available devices.
- Allow access and location permissions as prompted.
- Long-press the 'Reset' button on the camera until you hear 'Ready to connect.'
- Confirm the device by tapping 'It’s mine.'
- Allow Bluetooth connection and then enter your Wi-Fi network details.
- Allow the network connection steps to be completed.
- Listen for an audio notification confirming a successful connection.
