Using the Time-Lapse Feature on Psync Cameras

Before you begin, ensure your camera and app are updated to the following versions or newer:

  • Camera firmware: 6.15.2.3203
  • iOS app: 3.47.3
  • Android app: 3.62.3

When updated, the Time-Lapse feature will be available in the Psync app under the "More" menu.


Getting Started:

  1. Open the Psync app and tap “Live” at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Tap the three-dot icon (...) to view the "More" menu.
  3. Choose “Time-Lapse”

Setting Up Your Time-Lapse:

  1. In the Time-Lapse menu, tap the "Gear" icon.
  2. Configure your recording, then tap “OK” to confirm your configurations.
    • Start Time: Choose when to start recording.
    • Shooting Duration: Select the duration of the recording.
    • Shooting Interval: Set the interval between frames.
    • Shooting Completed Reminder: Activate to get a notification.

Starting the Time-Lapse Recording:

The recording begins at your chosen start time. Select 'Now' to start immediately after saving your configurations, or set a time to start automatically. 

To manually start and stop the recording:

  1. Return to the Time-Lapse menu by tapping the (<) arrow in the upper left.
  2. Tap the white circle to start or stop the recording.

Viewing and Managing Time-Lapse Files:

The time-lapse recordings are saved to the camera's local storage.

  1. Accessing Files
    • Open the Time-Lapse menu and tap the “Folder” icon.
    • All recordings will be listed under “File list.”

  2. Viewing a Recording
    • Tap the “Download” icon next to the desired file.
    • A confirmation message will indicate the download is complete.
    • The file will be saved to your mobile device’s media library.
    • Note: The app requires at least limited permissions to your media library to save recordings.

  3. Deleting a Recording
    • Tap the “Delete” icon next to the file.
    • This action permanently removes the recording from your Genie S’s local storage.
